Week 7 Prompt Prompt: For our prompt this week, I want you to think about fake memoirs, author mills (James Patterson), and celebri...

What did you use to make your annotation this week? It looks so nice - really stands out and grabs your attention. Is it just in a word document that you made into a PDF? Anyway, I’m impressed.
ReplyDeleteWhat did you think about this book? It sounds interesting. One thing that has been bugging me a lot about books I’ve been reading is that the main female character is usually “emotionally closed off”. I’ve read so many books like that and it has been annoying me lately. Curious how this one was!
I use publisher and convert it into a jpeg. It is what I have to do for my library marketing facebook posts. In this book, there is a VERY good reason she is closed off. It was slowly uncovered as the book moved along so it was pretty interesting. When I first started reading, it took me a few chapters to get into it, but then it grabbed me and I really enjoyed it. Once I finish in May, I am going to start working my way through the series.
DeleteI also read this as my romantic suspense- it does fit the genre nicely!! I like your read alike suggestions, I've never read Rizzoli and Isles, but have seen the tv show, and would agree that together they are a lot like Eve! Can you believe how many books are in this series? I do wonder how interesting the books are after about #5. I thought the main characters were intriguing enough for a couple of books, but I feel like I might get bored with them over time.
ReplyDeleteI am curious to see that too... they must be interesting enough to keep people reading through 40+ books! I think the futuristic setting may help as it opened a lot of doors that a traditional setting may lack. I plan on reading more of them starting in May.
DeleteExcellent job! Again, your layout is beautiful. Beyond that your summary is concise, your characteristics are on point and you have great readalikes. Full points!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
